Situated on a working farm near St.Davids, Porthllisky Cottages are within footsteps of the Pembrokeshire National Park Coastal Path and just one and a half miles from historic St.Davids, birthplace of the Patron Saint of Wales with the magnificent St.Davids Cathedral and the newly opened Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Landscape Gallery - Oriel y Parc , home to the Graham Sutherland Collection and a rolling programme of exhibitions of paintings from the National collections and others.
Porthllisky Cottages opened in July 2006 and provide a wonderful base from which to enjoy the delights of Pembrokeshire. They make an ideal venue for family get-togethers,reunions or simply a place to get away from it all.Situated between the quaint little harbour of Porthclais and secluded Porthllisky beach to which there is direct access. Relax on the beach, potter in the pools, have some fun on our sit-on top kayaks or go crabbing down the harbour. Our cottages are dog-friendly so why not bring your pooch for a romp on the beach!
All cottages are individual and fitted out to a 5 star standard, with oak and slate floors and log burners. Three of the cottages, Ramsey, Llisky and Boia ( our disabled friendly cottage)surround a central courtyard, grassed and paved. It provides a safe, enclosed play area for small children. The fourth - Ty Siencyn, is set some 100 yards away and is a 2 minute walk from the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. All cottages have their own individual gardens. There is a large football playing area and children's play area with slide, swing etc. A great favourite is the games room with pool, table-tennis and a plentiful supply of puzzles, games etc.
For those who desire a greater physical challenge try coasteering with T-Y-F outdoor pursuit centre or take one of many available boat trips seeking out the wildlife, seabirds, porpoises and seals or fishing.
Alternatively walk along the Pembrokeshire Coast Path and admire the breathtaking scenery and stunning carpets of wild flowers that blanket the headlands. Or take a bicycle which are freely available to travel into St.Davids for a little culture in the medieval Cathedral, the Bishop's Palace or visit one of the many galleries, quality gift shops and sample delicious dishes served up in one of the many restaurants.
